John A. Ballert, MD, FACS

Dr. Ballert’s extensive education has led him to be double board-certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  His practice consists of skin cancer reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty, facial trauma, and cosmetic injectables (fillers and toxins).  Dr. Ballert’s education includes:

• Undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Centre College
• Fulbright Fellowship at the Children’s Cancer Research Institute at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia
• Medical School at the University of Louisville
• Internship in General Surgery and a Residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia
• Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of South Florida
• Oral Board Examiner for the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery section of the American Board of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Ballert moved to Paducah with his wife, Natalie – a Paducah native and Anesthesiologist, and now has a large family with four beautiful kids.  Dr. Ballert has practiced facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Paducah since 2010. Outside of his medical practice, you can find Dr. Ballert and Natalie at the soccer fields with Anderson, playing basketball with Lucas, Baseball with Beckham, and at competitive cheer with Ainsley.

Alexa Payne, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Alexa is a Paducah native and graduate of St. Mary High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville in 2006 and began her career as a registered nurse in women’s health and dermatology. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015.

Alexa’s career has been shaped by her years of collaboration with Dr. Ballert. She has been working alongside Dr. Ballert at his facial plastics practice since 2015 and later joined Ballert Medical Aesthetics in 2020. Alexa has extensive training and advanced experience injecting neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She also offers expertise in a wide range of laser treatments. Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, Alexa continues to train and refine her skills, ensuring each patient receives the safest and most effective care. She takes pride in building trusting relationships with her patients and creating personalized treatment plans that align with their goals.

Alexa is proud to be a part of Ballert Medical Aesthetics and proud to care for patients in the community she calls home. Outside of the office, Alexa enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Blair Wientjes, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Blair, a Knoxville, TN native, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Following graduation, she worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt before returning to Belmont to obtain her Master’s of Science in Nursing. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Blair has always had a passion for skin health, beginning her nurse practitioner career with Paducah Dermatology in 2018. She is very excited to make the transition from dermatology to aesthetic medicine and to be a part of the Ballert Medical Aesthetics team. She enjoys cultivating relationships with her patients on both a personal and professional level to help them feel their absolute best and most confident self!

Blair lives in Paducah with her husband and two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers!

Lindsay Martin, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Lindsay grew up in Paducah and is a graduate of St. Mary High School. She went on to the University of Louisville, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following her BSN program, she worked as an RN in Louisville, while earning her Master of Science in Nursing at Spalding University. After graduation, she moved back to Paducah and started working as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Lindsay is excited to join the Ballert Medical team and allow more availability for the community’s aesthetic needs. She is committed to helping you look and feel your best.

When Lindsay is not at the office, she is spending time with her family at home, on the sidelines, at Kentucky Lake, or traveling.

Becky Littlejohn – Aesthetician

Becky has been a licensed Aesthetician since 2006 and is certified in HydraFacial treatments. She provides chemical peels and a variety of personalized skincare services, always focusing on education and long-term skin health. When she’s not caring for clients, Becky loves traveling with her husband, going to concerts, and catching live sporting events.

Lindsay Black

Lindsay is a member of the front desk team at Ballert Medical Aesthetics, where she is dedicated to creating a welcoming and seamless experience for every client. Lindsay grew up in Elizabethtown, KY. She has a Marketing degree from the University of Kentucky. She moved to Paducah with her husband, David, who works with his family at Ray Black and Son General Contracting. Lindsay enjoys connecting with clients and helping ensure each visit feels smooth and relaxing.

Outside of the spa, Lindsay teaches yoga and values staying active and balanced. She spends her free time cheering on her three boys at their sporting events and caring for her three dogs at home.
